State testing begins for 5th grade tomorrow, April 28, and continues through May 11. It is imperative that our students be well fed, rested and on time. If the test has already begun and a student arrives late, state law does not allow them to join the classroom late and that student must wait and take the test later. This year we are doing something a little different where we are only testing in the morning so appointments, such as doctor or dentist, could still occur in the afternoon after 12 p.m. Of course, there might be exceptions, such as a student needs a little longer and it might go past this time so the later in the afternoon for the appointment the better. Your help in making our students successful during this testing time is critical. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students do their best.
