At Marietta Public Schools, we are dedicated to helping our students develop the skills they need to thrive in the 21st Century. Marietta students have access to computers in our classrooms, computer lab, and library, where they may use the Internet under staff supervision. 

READING PROGRAM

COMPUTER AND INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Students are responsible for their behavior on the school computer network. Computer and Internet use is a privilege we provide to enhance information gathering and research skills and to facilitate students’ personal growth in the use of technology. Marietta Public Schools staff closely monitors student use of the school computers and the Internet. Students who abuse their acceptable use rights will be subject to discipline. Parents, please discuss these rules with your child:

  • Treat all computer equipment with care.

  • Respect copyright laws, and always cite where you found your information.

  • Use the computer and Internet only with your teacher’s permission and for the purpose your teacher has requested.

  • Do not give out personal information.
