We had a wonderful turn-out for our Book Character Parade this morning! Our students looked amazing and it was great to see so many or our families there! Big thanks to Dollar Tree and the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee for donating lots of candy and bags so our students could trick-or-treat!
Marietta High School would like to honor our former students and employees who are also veterans during our annual Veterans Day program. Congratulations to high school's STAR Educator Scott Anderson. Mr. Anderson teaches science classes at Marietta High School and also is the sponsor for the Marietta Student Council. He has been an instructor for twenty-five years.

Out of 14 JH and HS students who auditioned on Saturday October 28th we had 7 students advance to Round 2. Congratulations to Ace Austin, Haylen Lowery, Rebekah Alberda, and Eva Bucher in HS Choir and Brice, Benito and Claire McGehee in JH Choir. These student will compete again Nov 11 for HS and Nov 13 for JH to claim a spot in the All State Honor Choir.

Due to the potential of severe weather, homecoming festivities have been moved to tomorrow, October 26. Starting with homecoming parade at 4:30 (no early school release), coronation at McClain Stadium at 7:00 p.m. and kick-off at 7:30 p.m. The parade route will take another direction this year. Please see image for details. We apologize for any inconvenience with the change of date. Looking forward to seeing everyone out tomorrow. Homecoming dress-up days will remain the same.
Over 350 FCCLA members from 18 FCCLA chapters in the SE 1 area came to Marietta today to gain leadership experience, make new friends and have some fun at the 2023 District Leadership Conference. Keynote speaker for the meeting was Dawson Muck from Sulphur he spoke on overcoming challenges with a positive attitude.
