On March 26th, 7 members of the Marietta Show Choir participated in the Southeastern Chorvettes Honor Show Choir Festival in Durant Ok. They spent 2 days singing and dancing and then put on a final show. Alexis Creasman, Rebekah Alberda, Haylen Lowery, Ace Austin, Cynthia Lopez, Kamarah Bertrand and Eva Bucher. This was the 35th year Anniversary for the SE Chorvettes and our students got to perform with two of our own former students, who are now Chorvettes themselves, Colours Starsick and Tanasia Randle.
Mrs. Starsick-Anderson was super proud of their hard work and dedication. She was also a member of this very festival in 1995-1999, when she was in high school. Marietta has participated in this festival for the last 9 years since Mrs. Starsick-Anderson has been the high school choir director. She commented "It was awesome to see our students working with former students who are in college and can share their experience with them. I had several students who expressed an interest in becoming a Chorvette and attending Southeastern which is also my college Alma Mater."
