Our Primary School GEM (Great Educators Matter) for August is Ms. Isabel Allen. This is Ms. Allen's first year here at Marietta. She teaches First Grade and is doing a great job! Second Graders learned what' it's like to be a "Rollercoaster Engineer" in the library last week. They had to create rollercoaster tracks, warning signs, and they had to name their rollercoaster. Our library assistant, Mrs. Baker, said this is the first time learning about "Kid's Dream Jobs!"

Our Pre-K students love learning how to form letters using "Mat Man." Mrs. Mathis said they worked on making the letters in their names using wooden lines and curves. They really get excited about learning letters this way!

Our sweet elementary secretary, Mrs. Berry, was teaching about flag etiquette to a student. Daily she puts out and takes down our flags. This student was excited about learning how it is done and he helped in raising the flag. He thought it was the best thing ever!
