FCCLA officers and members were invited to join the National FCCLA staff for a virtual chapter visit at their weekly staff meeting. Marietta FCCLA was the 2nd chapter in the Nation to participate in this virtual meeting.
Our Primary School GEM for January is Mrs. Hartman. This is her first year with Marietta. She’s teaching Kindergarten and doing a wonderful job! She is an excellent addition to our team!

Friday night's Marietta high school girl's basketball game has been canceled. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for next Friday 1/21 time TBA.
We will continue with our homecoming festivities begining at 6:00 pm, followed by the tip off of the Boys Varsity game at 6:30 pm
Primary and Elementary class pictures have been moved to January 28.
On Wednesday, Marietta high school students participated in our first “Marietta strong” activities. Scott Anderson, a biology teacher at Marietta high school, divided students into small groups and provided team building activities around the school. Each of the activities was completely student led. The students and the staff were very energized by each of the activities.
High school robotics class has started to enjoy experimenting with the new 3D printer that was purchased with the Oklahoma Career Tech stem grant that was awarded to Mrs. Ramon in 2021.
Congratulations to JH All-Staters Eva Bucher and Ace Austin. They competed against many other students from the state on Saturday in Oklahoma City, and came away with high praise. Great job!!!
Congratulations to Emily Faulkenberry and Taryn Blankenship they competed on the Love County 4-H FCS Skills-A-Thon Team at the National competition in Denver, Colorado. The team placed 4th on the Life Skills Assessment portion and 3rd place overall. Congratulations on your National accomplishments!!!!
Students in 3rd grade, Boatright and Wolfe’s class, created a solution for caribou crossing the road safely in science. Students had all kinds of ideas and explanations.
Marietta High School is hosting a food drive next Monday, January 17 from 10 to 2. Drop off any non-perishable food in the front of the high school. Thank you for donating!
Marietta Schools will be celebrating homecoming week starting on Monday, January 10. We look forward to a week of fun filled activities cumulating with our homecoming basketball events on Friday, January 14.
Marietta Middle School has had a fun week or drawings and giveaways thanks to generous donations from the community. Today’s grand prize winner was Cathy Roberts. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us to you!
Congratulations to Mr. Eric Gallaway for being selected Middle School Teacher of the Month. Mr. Gallaway is in his 29th year teaching band. He does an outstanding job with our students.
