Members of the Marietta FCCLA chapter attended the Get SET Conference on December 6 in Moore at the Moore-Norman Technology Center.
Get SET stands for Speaking Excellence Training. The conferences are presented by the Oklahoma FCCLA Association, designed for FCCLA members in eighth through tenth grades.
The purpose of Get SET is to teach students how to enjoy the process of preparing for public speaking opportunities and competitions and to be comfortable with public speaking, a valuable skill.
Attending from Marietta were Emily Faulkenberry and Madi Michael.
FCCLA is an integral part of the Oklahoma CareerTech System and supports family and consumer sciences education for students in grades six through adult.
