After a successful year, all four MPS sites are winding down towards summer. As they enter what is arguably their busiest season of the year, administrators are in the final planning stages for assemblies, graduations, field trips, and plenty of other activities.
Primary
In the Primary School, Pre-K awards assembly will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 9 a.m. in the school auditorium.
Kindergarten graduation will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 in the auditorium.
Awards assembly for first and second grades will be Wednesday, May 18, at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium.
Elementary
Field Day for both Primary and Elementary students is Tuesday, May 17, to be held on the infield at McClain Stadium.
The Elementary’s awards assembly is set for Wednesday, May 18, at 10 a.m. in the auditorium.
Middle School
The Middle School awards assembly is scheduled for Monday, May 16 at 10 a.m. in the auditorium.
Middle school students will be taking semester tests on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19.
High School
The Color My Campus color run for college-bound seniors will be held at the softball field on May 12 at 11 a.m. The awards assembly for high school students is scheduled for Monday, May 16 at 12:45 in the auditorium. The public is invited to attend either of these events.
Scholarships will be awarded to seniors at the Senior Scholarship Assembly, held on Monday, May 16 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. That event is by invitation only.
Baccalaureate for senior graduates will be hosted at Marietta’s First Baptist Church on Sunday, May 15 at 6 p.m. Brett Alberda will be the speaker, with music led by InHim.
Semester tests for high school students will be Wednesday and Thursday, May 18-19.
High school graduation is scheduled for Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. in McClain Stadium, barring inclement weather or muddy field conditions, which would result in moving the ceremony into the auditorium. Graduation practice will be held at 9 a.m. on May 19.
May 19 is also the last day of school for students at Marietta.
