Parents of eighth grade students who attend Marietta Middle School are asked to attend a parent meeting to be held Thursday, February 18 at 6 p.m. in the school auditorium.
There are several topics of discussion for the evening.
“We are going to look at and discuss high school graduation requirements and Oklahoma’s Promise scholarship applications, among several other things,” said counselor Jan Hayes. “Parents need to know that it’s not too soon to help their students begin planning for their future.”
Parents will be allowed to ask questions about their student’s plan for high school classes, career tech, and even college plans. Also, help will be provided with signing up for the Oklahoma’s Promise free college tuition program.
Parents are asked to bring a mask and socially distance, and to bring their student’s Chromebook and login information to use to sign up for Oklahoma’s Promise. Parents may use their student’s eighth grade guidance Google Classroom to view the PowerPoint presentation.
Door prizes will be given. For more information, call the middle school at (580) 276-3886.
