All of these students will be competing at the OSSAA State Speech Tournament,
scheduled to be held April 11 and 12 on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
The team also had several regional finalists, including Haylen Lowery, Aubry Chill,
Kamarah Bertrand, Cristal Diaz, Kelsi Lawson, and Brice Carlile. These students will
serve as state alternates.
“I am incredibly proud of all of my students,” said advisor Alicia Harris. “Speech is a
challenging extracurricular activity that requires a lot of hard work and self-confidence.
“Students have to be willing to step outside of their comfort zones to perform before
multiple audiences throughout the year. Everyone on the team has proven they are
strong competitors and outstanding people.”
